Rolling over onto her stomach, Nell folded her arms under her head and looked over at Oren through half-lidded eyes. "Go back home; read something. Maybe paint." She closed her eyes then, happy in the sun. "The harbor is sure to be pretty today." The warmth from the sun was rapidly lulling her to sleep, and she enjoyed the feeling. It was also a sign of how much she trusted the SeeD with her to keep her safe.

Nodding, he leaned back again and closed his eyes for a moment. "I didn't know you painted. You're quite the artist, aren't you? You cook, you paint. Anything else?" He chuckled a little bit and stretched out, looking up at the sky.

She blushed slightly, opening her eyes slowly to look over at him. "I also make things... You know, sew and such. I find it an enjoyable way to pass the time. What about you? When you're not teaching or doing missions or slaying terrible monsters, what do you do?" To herself, Nell grinned; Oren made her think of a knight in shining armor, killing monsters, escorting her around...

He turned his head and lifted an eyebrow at her. "You make it sound like I go slay giant dragons for damsels in distress," he laughed. "Well, other than that, I read some or take walks around the campus."

"And what sort of things do you read? Action, adventure? Sci-fi?" Nell tilted her head curiously, still studying him, her slowly drying hair falling over to the side. "I mean, is there an action novel that doesn't bore you? Isn't your real life full of danger and excitement?"

He thought for a moment. "Well, I do read action and sci-fi. It's nice to read about other people's lives sometimes, you know?" He moved to lay on his stomach and rested his chin on his folded arms. "What about you? What do you like to read?"

"Me? I guess I'm pretty typical... I like romance novels and the occasional action book. Mostly, I like to read how-to books though." She laughed, shaking her head a little. "I prefer to learn how to do various things more than I enjoy reading about other people's lives. It just seems like there's so much to learn how to do, you know?" She gently began to kick her feet back and forth, looking ahead of herself contentedly. "I feel like I won't ever be proficient with enough to get by."
